We are a power project development company in India, with track record of developing and operating power plants. We were established in 2001 to capitalize on the emerging opportunities in the Indian power sector and focus on developing, operating and maintaining power projects. We supply power to a combination of industrial and state-owned consumers in India.
KSK Energy Ventures has current interests in various operational power plants capable of generating 2062 MW of power and is currently involved in constructing 3600 MW KSK Mahanadi Power plant that two units of 600 MW each operational and remaining units under various stages of construction. Additionally, the group has an exciting portfolio of planned projects across the fuel spectrum.

Off Taker: SRPCPL, being a group captive plant, has off-take agreements with the key consumers, viz. Chemplast Sanmar Limited, Precot Meridian Limited, Brakes India Limited, Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited, The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited, Jagannath Textile Company Limited, El Forge Limited, Harshini Textiles Limited, Regency Ceramics and Light Alloy Products Limited and others
Fuel Supply: SRPCPL utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel and has agreement with GAIL India Limited for the purchase of natural gas.
Operation: SRPCPL undertakes operations and maintenance with specific works through select contractors. The Plant has been operating at annual PLF of 85% and above over the last 4 years with resultant consistent power supplies
This is a coal-based power plant with the capability of generating 43 MW of power. Location: The power plant is situated in Dondapadu, Andhra Pradesh, India and was commissioned in March 2008.
Off Taker: SPL entered into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Zuari Cement Limited (ZCL) and Sri Vishnu Cements Limited (SVCL) to supply Power to its cement manufacturing facilities located at Dondapadu, Andhra Pradesh. The Sitapuram SPV sell balance power to third parties
Fuel Supply: SPL utilizes coal as its primary fuel and has entered into a coal supply agreement with Singareni Collieries Company Limited (“SCCL”).
Operation: SPL manages operations and maintenance through select contractors and has been experiencing consistently high PLF , barring specific exceptional years on account of external factors .
86 MW Sai Lilagar Power Genertaion Limited, (Formerly known as Sai Lilagar Power Limited) Chhattisgarh
This is a coal-based power plant with unit configuration of 2X43 MW of power. Location: The power plant is situated in Arasmeta, Janjgir-Champa District, Chhattisgarh, India.
Off Taker: Long term PPA (earlier with Lafarge India) with local utility
Fuel Supply: Sai Lilagar Power Genertaion Limited (Formerly known as Sai Lilagar Power Limited) utilizes coal as its primary fuel and has entered into a coal supply agreement with South Eastern Coalfields Limited (“SECL”).

540 MW Sai Wardha Power Generation Limited, Maharashtra
This is a coal-based with the capability of generating 540 MW (4X135 MW) of power and unit wise commissioning during 2010 and 2011 Location: The power plant is situated in Warora Growth Centre, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India.
Off Taker: Sai Wardha Warora undertakes power supplies to local utilities and bulk captive consumers in the state of Maharashtra.
Fuel Supply: Sai Wardha Warora Coal supplies are tied up through cost plus Fuel Supply Agreement with western Coal Fields
135 MW VS Lignite Power Private Limited, Rajasthan
This is a lignite based power plant with the capability of generating 135 MW of power.
Location: The power plant is situated in Gurha Village, Bikaner District in the State of Rajasthan, India.
Off Taker: VSLP has entered into a power delivery agreement with various bulk consumers in state of Rajasthan and balance supplies to the local utility.
Fuel Supply: VSLP utilizes lignite as its primary fuel and was allotted with the Gurha (East) Lignite Block at Kolayat, Bikaner, Rajasthan by the Ministry of Coal, Government Of India in July 2005. The expected consumption of lignite for the plant is one MTPA at 80.0% PLF. VSLP has entered into a mining lease agreement with the Government of Rajasthan for a period of 30 years and the mine in operation over the last few years.
EPC Contract: The EPC contractor was SEPCO III, a People’s Republic of China company.
Transmission: VSLP has been given permission by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited for long-term open access on the intra-state transmission and distribution system for transmission and distribution of power from its power plant.
3,600 MW KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited, Chhattisgarh - Partial Commissioning
This is a coal based power project approximately 125 kilometers from the Morga II coal block in Chhattisgarh. The original project was a 1,800 MW power project based on coal supplies from the Morga-II coal block by GMDC. With the availability of additional fuel from the Gare Pelma Sector III coal block in Chhattisgarh, the KSK Mahanadi Power Project has been expanded through the fast track development of an additional 1,800 MW of power generation capacity in the same location. This power project of 3600 MW , 6 identical units of 600 MW each is being setup in a single location and is scheduled to be commissioned on a unit-wise basis through 2013 to 2015
The first 600 MW has been commissioned in 2013 and second 600 MW has been commissioned in August 2014.

EPC contract: The KSK Mahanadi Power Project has selected Shangdong Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCO), a leading EPC contractor from China engaged in power plant design and construction, as the contractor to undertake design, supply and provide engineering and construction services for the KSK Mahanadi power project. Under these agreements, SEPCO has completed part supplies and construction and expected to supply the KSK Mahanadi with necessary equipment and materials and render such services as are required for the plant to generate aggregate power of 3,600 MW.
